India House of Worship is a tax-exempt non-profit religious organization registered in the state of Maryland on October 1976, for the express purpose of providing for a place of Hindu Vedic worship for India-American community now setting in and around Washington DC.

IHOW offers on the average once a month program of prayers during hindu vedic services followed by sponsored samooh priti bhojan (i.e. prasad usually in the form of dinner) on selected Sundays. All are welcome. Admission is FREE.

IHOW collects (TEMPARORILY SUSPENDED)used clothes for shipment to India to distribute this to poor people of India. No shoes or toys, please. Bags or Boxes of washed clothes can be taken to the warehouse in Silver Spring. Phone 301-589-4610 for direction

IHOW publishes a unique quarterly Journal SAMSKAR which contains articles of interest in English, Gujarati, and Hindi. IHOW annual membership is $25.00 and Life Membership is $351.00
